On The Move

This boy is on the move!! He started out last weekend up on his hands and knees, rocking back and forth. He just couldn't quite figure out what to do next.

But...by this weekend he was totally mobile. He's doing the full belly scoot, but he can get around quick! He looks like a little inch worm moving thru the house. On Saturday we were in the guest room, next thing we knew he had scooted out of the room and was heading down the hall to the bonus room to play...

It's a LONG hallway when you are inch worming your way around!

But he kept on moving, little by little.

Sometimes you have to take a little rest on your way down the hall.

But, he finally made it- the trip literally took him about 15 minutes- but he was immediately rewarded with some play! And then continued across the room to the bookshelves where all his toys are.
On Sunday, after a nice visit with his Nana and Papa, he did some more scooting down the foyer to Daddy- it's much easier to scoot on hardwood rather than carpet!
After he made it to Daddy we played with his new alligator that scoots around all on his own.

He has gotten much quicker and can get around all over the place now. He starts out sometimes on his hands and knees, but still isn't certain as to what to do, so he drops to his belly and off he goes. Watch out world, here comes Jackson!

We are just waiting for Ainsley to catch on. She gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth but then drops to her belly. She only goes backwards or in circles at this point. I love learning what we have to look forward to by seeing what Jackson is up to! He's so cute.

I love the picture of him resting on his way down the hall. I bet it is tiring! Looks like the baby gates get to go up now, too.

Its ON!!! He will never stay where you put him again. When Vivian started to be mobile someone told me to be careful what you wish for - they were right. Have fun.

Isn't it amazing how quick they can move on all 4s? You better get the baby gates ready! :)
